Whitley Strieber (born June 13, 1945) is a #1 New York Times best-selling author and a seminal figure in the study of non-human encounters following the publication of his landmark memoir, Communion. Beyond his work as a chronicler of "The Visitors," he is an accomplished novelist whose works The Wolfen and The Hunger were adapted into major motion pictures, and whose book The Coming Global Superstorm (co-authored with Art Bell) served as the basis for the film The Day After Tomorrow.
