About This Archive
The Art Bell Archive is a non-commercial project dedicated to the historical preservation and accessibility of Art Bell's radio broadcasts. The archive exists to ensure that this significant chapter of American broadcasting history remains available for researchers, fans, and future generations.
Audio Content
Audio normally plays from third-party preservation platforms. To maintain access during upstream outages, the Art Bell Archive may temporarily deliver a preservation copy from project-controlled backup storage. The archive does not sell access to these recordings and will address legitimate rights-holder concerns promptly and in good faith.
Historical Website Preservation
The archive includes a preservation copy of historical ArtBell.com pages distributed on the 2003 commemorative disc. These pages are presented as contemporaneous primary-source material and retain period descriptions, links, and claims that may now be obsolete. Their preservation does not imply endorsement, current accuracy, or ownership of the underlying trademarks and copyrighted works.
Audience Measurement
The site records aggregated page, playback, and audio-request measurements to understand which episodes are being used and to keep playback reliable. Audio measurements may include the episode path, general client category, country, request range, response status, and delivery source. Raw IP addresses and full user-agent strings are not stored in the audio analytics dataset. Approximate daily uniqueness uses a one-way keyed identifier that changes each UTC day, and Cloudflare retains the resulting aggregate events for three months. Audience information is not sold or used for advertising.
Transcripts
Transcripts available on this site were independently created for the purpose of accessibility, historical research, and content discovery. These transcripts enable users to search across decades of broadcast content and serve as a reference companion to the original audio recordings. They are not intended to serve as a substitute for the original broadcasts.

Certain pages on this site include affiliate links to books and other published works by guests featured in the archive.
