Dr. Roger Leir (1934–2014) was a podiatric surgeon known for his claims of having surgically removed anomalous objects - alleged alien implants - from the bodies of individuals reporting abduction experiences. On Art Bell's programs, he presented his surgical findings and laboratory analyses in his book The Aliens and the Scalpel, arguing that the objects defied conventional scientific explanation.
