Howard Bloom (born June 25, 1943) is a former music industry publicist turned author and scientific thinker, known for his ambitious works exploring mass behavior, evolution, and the interconnected nature of human civilization through concepts like the "Global Brain." As a guest on late-night radio, he drew on his books The Lucifer Principle and Global Brain to argue that competition and conflict are essential engines of cosmic creativity.
