Tom Bearden (1930–2022) was a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel and nuclear engineer recognized for his extensive theoretical work on scalar electromagnetics, zero-point energy, and what he characterized as suppressed energy technologies with the potential to transform civilization. On Art Bell's programs, his technical presentations on the Motionless Electromagnetic Generator (MEG) and his critiques of conventional electromagnetic theory made him a leading figure in the free energy movement.
