Richard Heinberg is a journalist, educator, and senior fellow at the Post Carbon Institute recognized for his influential writings on peak oil, resource depletion, and the urgent need for a transition to a post-carbon economy. On Art Bell's programs, his book The Party's Over and his subsequent works on energy decline have made him one of the most prominent voices warning about the consequences of fossil fuel dependency.
