Dr. Raymond Moody (born June 30, 1944) is a philosopher, psychologist, and physician recognized for coining the term "near-death experience" (NDE) and early the scientific study of life-after-death phenomena through his research. On Art Bell's programs, his landmark 1975 book Life After Life has sold millions of copies and fundamentally transformed public and academic discourse on consciousness, death, and the afterlife.
