Marcus Hutter (born April 14, 1967) is a German-born computer scientist and artificial intelligence researcher at the Australian National University and DeepMind, recognized for his groundbreaking theoretical work on universal artificial intelligence. As the creator of the AIXI model - a mathematical framework describing the theoretically optimal intelligent agent - he has made foundational contributions to algorithmic information theory, reinforcement learning, and the formal understanding of machine intelligence.
