Marcus Hutter (born April 14, 1967) is a German-born computer scientist and artificial intelligence researcher at the Australian National University and DeepMind, recognized for his theoretical work on universal artificial intelligence. As the creator of the AIXI model - a mathematical framework describing the theoretically optimal intelligent agent - he has made foundational contributions to algorithmic information theory, reinforcement learning, and the formal understanding of machine intelligence.
