Dr. Hugh Ross (born July 24, 1945) is a Canadian-born astrophysicist and old-earth creationist recognized for founding the Reasons to Believe ministry, which promotes a scientifically informed model of creation compatible with mainstream cosmology and an ancient universe. On Art Bell's programs, his book The Creator and the Cosmos and his integration of big bang cosmology with biblical theology offered a distinctive alternative to both secular materialism and young-earth creationism.
