Chuck Barris

Chuck Barris (1929–2017) was a television producer, host, and author recognized for creating game shows including The Dating Game and The Gong Show, and for his extraordinary claim of having simultaneously served as a covert CIA assassin. On Art Bell's programs, his memoir Confessions of a Dangerous Mind - later adapted into a major film - blurred the line between entertainment and espionage in one of the most fascinating personal narratives of the twentieth century.
