Dr. William Forstchen

Dr. William R. Forstchen (born 1950) is a historian, professor at Montreat College, and New York Times bestselling author renowned for his novel One Second After, a harrowing depiction of America in the aftermath of an electromagnetic pulse attack that became required reading at the Pentagon. As a faculty fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, he has become one of the foremost voices warning about EMP vulnerabilities and the fragility of modern technological civilization.
