Preston Nichols (1946–2018) was an electrical engineer and author who claimed firsthand involvement in the alleged "Montauk Project," a series of secret government experiments purportedly involving time travel, mind control, and interdimensional portals at Camp Hero, Long Island. On Art Bell's programs, his book The Montauk Project: Experiments in Time became a foundational text in conspiracy lore and inspired widespread cultural fascination with the Montauk legend.
