Marc Davenport is an author and UFO researcher who studied chemical engineering at the University of Missouri at Rolla, worked as a manufacturing engineer, and became a full-time freelance writer in 1985. By his 1994 Area 2000 appearance, he had spent roughly two decades examining UFO and abduction reports. Davenport argued that aspects of those reports might be understood through time travel and additional dimensions, ideas he developed in Visitors from Time. The recovered audio had previously been transcribed as “Mark Davenport”; the author's books and preserved ArtBell.com directory establish the spelling Marc.
