Luba Brezhneva (born 1943), also rendered as Lubov or Lyubov Brezhneva, is a Russian-American writer and the niece of Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev. She worked as a translator and journalist before leaving the Soviet sphere for the United States in 1990. Her memoir The World I Left Behind describes both the privileges surrounding the Brezhnev family and the political surveillance and personal pressure she says she experienced from the KGB. Her Art Bell interview expands on that first-person account of life inside the Soviet political elite.
