Dr. R. Leo Sprinkle is a psychologist and professor emeritus at the University of Wyoming recognized as one of the earliest academic researchers to use hypnotic regression in the study of UFO abduction experiences. As an early figure in both ufology and Art Bell's programs, his decades of clinical work with abductees and his organization of the Rocky Mountain Conference on UFO Investigation established him as a foundational figure in the academic study of the contact phenomenon.
