Dr. Kevin Trenberth (born November 8, 1944) is a distinguished New Zealand-born climate scientist and former head of the Climate Analysis Section at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), recognized as a leading authority on climate change and Earth's energy balance. As a lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), he has provided expert analysis on global warming, extreme weather events, and the scientific evidence underpinning modern climate research.
