Jonathan E. "Josh" Grindlay (born 1943) is the Robert H. Baker Professor of Astronomy at Harvard University and a pioneering astrophysicist renowned for his research in high-energy X-ray astronomy and time-domain astrophysics. As the principal investigator of the DASCH project, he has led efforts to digitize over a century of Harvard's astronomical photographic plate archive, enabling the discovery of stellar variability and transient cosmic events across an unprecedented historical baseline.
