John Kierein is a physicist with forty years of experience in aerospace who proposed a radical challenge to the Big Bang theory, arguing instead for a static, eternal universe in which cosmological redshift is caused by the Compton effect rather than expansion. On Art Bell's programs, he presented his alternative cosmological model and cited Edwin Hubble's own reservations about interpreting redshift as proof of an expanding universe.
