John Cogan is an author and catastrophist researcher known for his theory that a six-mile-wide asteroid struck the North Atlantic Ocean approximately 10,500 years ago, ending the last ice age and nearly extinguishing human civilization. On Art Bell's programs, he presented physical evidence including the Carolina Bays and geological formations supporting his argument for a cataclysmic impact rewriting human prehistory.
