Dr. John Altshuler was a Colorado pathologist and hematologist who examined reported animal-mutilation cases beginning in the late 1960s. His work documented the condition of tissues, apparent blood loss, and patterns of removal described by ranchers and investigators. In his recovered Art Bell appearance, Altshuler concentrated on what he had observed during examinations and on the questions those observations left unresolved. The archive preserves the pathology he reported while treating proposed causes as hypotheses rather than findings.
