José Jaime Maussan Flota is a Mexican journalist and television presenter whose reporting has focused extensively on UFO claims and unexplained phenomena. Art Bell introduced him in 1998 as a former anchor of Mexico's 60 Minutos. Speaking from Mexico City, Maussan described the severe wildfires and smoke affecting Mexico and Central America, underground fires, and activity at Popocatépetl, then connected those events with UFO reports along Mexico's neo-volcanic axis. The archive presents those connections as Maussan's on-air interpretation, not an independently established conclusion.
