Gene Meyers is a space commerce advocate and colleague of rocket scientist David Adair known for his proposals to repurpose NASA space shuttle external tanks into rotating orbital habitats capable of hosting hundreds of people. On Art Bell's programs, he outlined a visionary plan for commercial tourism in space, describing ring-shaped stations with artificial gravity at a fraction of conventional costs.
