Bob Guccione (1930–2010) was the founder and publisher of both Penthouse magazine and OMNI, the science and science fiction magazine that brought cutting-edge scientific ideas, speculative technology, and visionary fiction to mainstream audiences. On Art Bell's programs, his creation of OMNI represented a rare fusion of popular publishing with genuine scientific curiosity, covering topics from space exploration and artificial intelligence to consciousness and the paranormal.
